SHIELD OF THE SAINTS PROGRAM

“Shield of the Saints” is a program that provides answers to your questions involving safety and security within houses of worship and their security teams.  With the ever growing number of houses of worship utilizing armed security, this training will add to what your security personnel can do.

A comprehensive flexible course that empowers your team to address a potentially hostile situation.  Because houses of worship are various sizes, we will work with your church security team in various blocks of training.  We can assist with a model for selecting personnel and establishing recurrent training as well as conducting a threat assessment.

This training builds on the skills that may have already been obtained or to help set a standard for your security team.  If your security team is armed, our training will include firearms training from federally certified and nationally accredited instructors.  Other blocks include de-escalation, self defense, and security of the building.

Viking Consultant Group is also a Recognized Educational Partner with the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care.  As a Recognized Partner with C-TECC, we also provide medical response training in how to address trauma wounds as a First Care Provider.  This program is more in depth than Stop the Bleed and shows you what items should be in your “med kit” or trauma kit when addressing wounds.

The medical response training can also be available for the entire congregation or those interested in how to address a traumatic wound.

SCHOOL SHIELD PROGRAM

The School SHIELD Training Program works hand in hand with teachers and school staff members on how to better prepare for an active shooter event.  The SHIELD Program provides answers involving safety in our schools to better secure our children.

There are many programs to choose from, but the SHIELD Program covers areas that none other are addressing and that is how to provide care.  All of our instructors have provided life-saving skills in the field and/or in training.  Viking Consultant Group is a Recognized Educational Partner with the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care.  We show you what can be done to lessen the potential loss of life.  The medical response to almost any civilian scenario will benefit from the guidelines utilized in this training.  Addressing preventable death remains the “holy grail” of trauma care.

Empowering your teachers in what to do and when to do it, is something that may give them a skillset to keep themselves and others safe.

This training can also be provided to groups of parents who wish to better prepare themselves whether near the school or away on a family outing.

With law enforcement’s average response time to an active shooter event being 3 minutes, in an urban setting, a person can bleed to death in 2-3 minutes.  Law enforcement will not immediately tend to the wounded but address the threat.  This is where our program can empower other to save lives.

EAST - Employee Active Shooter Training

This training is specifically for those in the business world and what to do in the event of an active shooter.  

With more than 50% of the active shooter situations occurring in the business world, this training will give you information and a skill set that could save your life or the lives of others.  Included in this training is how to address a gunshot wound and learning how to move the injured as well as other medical issues.

Finally, we will cover contingency plans and how to prepare for the worst case scenario.  Knowledge is always the best preparedness and empowerment is everything.

Business Emergency Safety/Security Training Program

Our BEST Program is specifically for those in the business world and what to do in the event of an active shooter.  With more than 50% of the active shooter situations occurring in the business world, this training will give you information and a skill set that could save your life or the lives of others.  Like the School SHIELD Training, this course engages you in scenario based training and how to protect yourself and your co-workers.

In addition, we will assist your company with drafting an Emergency Action Plan as well as the implementation through training.  An Emergency Action Plan facilitates and organizes employer and employee actions during workplace emergencies; including an active shooter.  We will cover contingency plans and how to prepare for the worst case scenario.

It is only through training that a person becomes familiar with what their actions should be in the event of an emergency.  The most important asset to any company are the employees.  Investing in your employees by providing life-saving skills and training is immeasurable.

As with other courses we offer, Viking Consultant Group is a Recognized Educational Partner with the Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) in medical response.  Our BEST Program includes scenario based medical mitigation training that can save lives when dealing with a trauma wound and it is what you do that can make the difference between life and death.
